How to drive in Italy - Budget rent a car Italy

-

All Budget cars are provided with air conditioning and airbag and are insured
against third part liability.

Please, remember that on all the Italian motorways and roads it’s compulsory to drive
with your headlights on, including during the day. In the event of a breakdown or problems
with the vehicle, resulting in you having to stop and get out of the vehicle,
it’s strictly compulsory to wear the reflective jacket provided in all the Budget vehicles.
This is also the case during the day. It is imperative that the driver and all passengers
must wear seat belts in the vehicle and that children must be strapped into child seats,
which are available to rent from the Budget counters.

The use of a mobile phone is only permissible by the driver if used in conjunction
with a hands free kit. On Italian motorways you may often encounter electronic speed
cameras (“Autovelox”), which are indicated by the sign “Attenzione velocità controllata”.
It’s advised to heed the speed limits.
